Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, has described the late Chairman of the Kwara APC Elders’ Forum, Alhaji Suleiman Oba Bolanta, as a straightforward and courageous person, saying that the party and Government, in particular, would miss the deceased’s contributions to governance and party issues.
Governor Ahmed who visited the family of the deceased at his GRA residence in Ilorin, described the demise of the APC chieftain as a painful exit.
Dr Ahmed who maintained that the APC chieftain would be greatly missed for his leadership roles and sterling qualities of humility, just and fairness, said the government only took solace in the fact that death is an inevitable end of all mortals.
Gov Ahmed urged the deceased’s family members to promote the legacies and virtues the APC chieftain represented and shun all acts capable of dragging the good legacies in the mud.
The Governor who prayed God to grant the APC chieftain eternal rest and the family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear the loss.
Speaking on behalf of the Bolanta family, the deceased eldest son, Mallam Solihu Suleiman expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmed for his support for the family while their father was alive and since his death.
It would be recalled that Alhaji Sulaiman Oba Bolanta died last Saturday at the ripe age of 88 during a brief illness.
