NiMet predicts another day of dust haze, low visibility

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Sunday, January 28, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze conditions are anticipated over this region with visibility range of 1 – 3km. Localised visibility of less than 1,000m are equally probable over this region for the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 24 – 30℃ and 10 – 13℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Dust haze in horizontal visibility range of 1 – 3km and localised visibility of less than 1,000m over this region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 24 – 31℃ and 11 – 18℃ respectively except Jos at 25/10℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Moderate dust haze conditions are likely over the Inland cities while early morning mist/ fog are expected over Warri, Asaba, Ijebu-Ode, Yenegoa and Ikeja. Hazy conditions are envisaged over the coastal cities in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃ and 15 – 21℃ respectively.
