NiMet predicts dust haze, cloudy weather, reduced visibility

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Thursday, January 18, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze condition with visibility range of 3 – 5 km is expected over the northern region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 33℃ and 10 – 16℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Moderate dust haze condition with localised visibility range of less than 1,000m is anticipated over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 36℃ and 15 – 20℃ respectively, except over Jos where 29℃ /11℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Hazy condition is anticipated over the region except Calabar, Eket and Port Harcourt that is expected to be cloudy during afternoon/evening period. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 33 – 36℃ and 19 – 25℃.
