The Nigerian Army has deployed Special Forces to Benue, Taraba and Nasarawa States amid tensions of attacks on communities in the region.
The Presidency announced this on Wednesday, hours after President Muhammadu Buhari presided over the Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
The deployment of the troops, which comes as part of measures by the Federal Government to prevent further attacks by suspected herdsmen, was to secure vulnerable communities in the states. (Channels TV)
