Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has described his Deputy, Rt. Hon Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, as “dependable ally and pillar of support” to him.
The Governor spoke during a civic reception organised for him by the Nkporo Development Union. He praised the contributions of his deputy to the smooth running of his administration and the successes recorded by it. The Governor pledged to ensure early completion of Abiriba-Etitiama Nkporo road to ease access into and out of the community.
In response to the address by the President of Nkporo Development Union, Apostle Urum Okpe, Governor Ikpeazu promised to return to the community in March to lay the foundation stone for a new general hospital at Nkporo and urged the people to protect all the government projects.
In his remarks, Deputy Governor Ude Oko Chukwu assured the Governor of the support of Nkporo and Ohafia local government people. He described the transformation witnessed in the state in the past 30 months as “unprecedented and of revolutionary proportions”.
