NiMet predicts dust haze, reduced visibility

•Dust haze

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Saturday, November 25, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze is expected over this region which should reduce horizontal visibility to the range of about 1 – 3 kilometre. Further deterioration in horizontal visibility to less than or equal
to 1,000 metres is anticipated over Yelwa, Kano, Katsina, Gusau throughout the forecast period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 36℃ and 18 – 20℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Moderate dust haze is expected over the northern part of this region while the southern axis will be in partly cloudy conditions throughout the day. Day and night temperature values are
expected to be in the range of 33 – 36℃ and 19 – 20℃ respectively except Jos at 28/10℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be cloudy over the coast in the morning with likelihood of isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening period over the South East coast. The inland
cities will be in partly cloudy skies throughout the day.
