Anambra election: Obiano declares November 17 public holiday

The Anambra State Government has declared Friday, 17th of this month as public holiday to enable civil servants fully participate in the upcoming governorship election in the state.

The state governor, Willie Obiano, gave the directive during a ceremony held at Udoji Secretariat, Awka, to mark the 2017 African Public Service Day Celebration, in the state.

He said the work-free day is also to enable civil servants travel to their various polling units to exercise their electoral franchise. (Daily Trust)
