President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday arrived the Esenboga International Airport, Ankara for a State Visit to Turkey at the invitation of Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
President Buhari, who left Abuja after presiding over the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Turkey, Iliyasu Paragalda.
Others at the airport included the Governor of Ankara, Ercan Topaca; the Deputy Minister, Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmet Yildiz; and Mayor of Ankara Melih Gokcek.
While in Turkey, Buhari would participate in the ninth D-8 Summit in Istanbul, Turkey, on October 20.
The D8-member countries include Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan and Turkey. (NAN)
