The faces you are seeing in this photograph are the suspects in the Oct. 5 murder of four undergraduates of the University of Port Harcourt in the host community, Aluu.
They were paraded yesterday at the Police Headquarters in Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers State, South-South Nigeria.
The suspects are to be arraigned in court today, according to the Rivers State Police Commissioner, Alhaji Muhammad Indabawa. They are:
10. Endurance Edet, 27
11. Uwem Sampson Akpabio, 30
12. David Chinasa Ugbaje, 30
13. Cynthia Chinwo (female), 24
News Express recalls that Ugonna Obuzor (18 and a 200 Level Geology student); Lloyd Toku (19 and a 200 Level Civil Engineering student); Tekena Elkanah (20 and a Diploma Technical student); and Chiadikobi Biringa (20 and a 200 Level Theatre Arts student) were lynched early that Friday morning over the false accusation of stealing phone handsets and laptops.
The horrendous act has outraged Nigerians, who are demanding that justice be done in the matter.
