Rains likely today over Ikeja, Warri, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar and environ

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, August 2, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region during the morning hours with chances of isolated thunderstorms over most parts of the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 - 34℃ and 20 -25℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Ilorin, Bida, Minna, Southern Kaduna, Abuja, Lokoja Mambilla plateau and its environ during the morning hours. Later in the day, there are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over most parts of the region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃ and 19 – 23℃ respectively except Jos at 26/16℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Obudu, Ogoja, Ikom, Abeokuta, Iseyin, Shaki, Ado-Ekiti, Akure, Oshogbo, Ibadan, Abeokuta and its environs with chance of isolated rains over the coastal cities especially over Ikeja, Warri, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar and environs during the morning hours. However, there are prospect of cloudiness over the southwest coast with chances of isolated thunderstorms over the entire southeast coast and the inland cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 - 32℃ and 21 - 23℃ respectively.
