The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, July 30, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over the region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Nguru, Potiskum, Sokoto, Yelwa and Kebbi axis in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are expected over the entire region in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 35℃ and 20 – 23℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudiness with prospects of localised thunderstorms is expected over Minna, Bida, Abuja, Lafia, Jos, Lokoja and Mambilla Plateau in the morning hours. However, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Makurdi, Minna, Mambilla, Jos, Lafia, Kaduna and Jalingo in afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33℃ and 19 – 24℃ respectively except Jos at 26/16℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Saki, Ado Ekiti and Lagos while localised thunderstorms are expected over places such as Enugu, Awka, Asaba, Benin, Ijebu-Ode, Southern Ondo, Abakaliki and Owerri in the morning hours. As the day progresses, localised thunderstorms are expected to prevail over the inland cities while localised rains are expected over the coastal cities in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 - 32℃ and 21 - 24℃ respectively.
