An upcoming comedian has fallen victim to the Badoo cult crisis in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, according to social media and radio reports. The fast-rising young comic identified as Chinedu Paul a.k.a. MC Think Twice, was reportedly lynched on Sunday after being mistaken to be a Badoo cult member. He was said to be among the three suspects burnt to death yesterday in Ikorodu by an irate mob after chasing away policemen, who the previous night began a special operation, in collaboration with local vigilante groups, to rid the area of the killer cultists.

Social media has been awash with tributes and lamentations by friends and fans of the murdered comedian.

Narrating what happened, Aligbe Eugene Onyeabo‎, the Administrator of Anioma Voice Facebook Group, said in a post this evening to the group:

“Young Comedian, identified as Chinedu Paul a.k.a. MC Think Twice, was mistaken to be a badoo cult member and was immediately lynched and burnt to death alongside two others.

“Our source, who narrated the story to us revealed that Chinedu was coming back from a Comedy Show that Midnight when his car broke down and then he came along with two others to tow his car away from the Odogunyan area when they were all lynched by an angry mob.

“Apparently, the mob claimed they found Engine Oil, Cutlass and a grinding stone in the car and they descended on them and burnt them with the car. Now the question is, where’s the grinding stone this mob claimed they found?

“This is just sad! Chinedu finished from Lagos State Polytechnic Ikorodu.

“Jungle Justice isn’t the way forward.

“RIP Chinedu.”
