The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday 4, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over this region with prospects of localised thunderstorms in the morning over Yelwa, Gusau and Zaria. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 40℃ and 23 – 26℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Morning cloudiness is expected over this region except over places like Abuja, Kaduna, Lafia, Jos, Lokoja and Mambilla where prospects of isolated thunderstorms are expected in the morning. Later in the afternoon/evening hours, Abuja, Jos, Lokoja, Minna, Makudi and Jos have prospects of localised thunderstorms. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 35℃ and 22 – 26℃ respectively, except over Jos where24/18oC. Day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over the region with prospects of localised rain showers over Port Harcourt, Calabar, Ikom, Warri and Yenagoa in the morning hours. Isolated thunderstorms are not unlikely over some parts of the inland cities of the south and the coast especially over Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa, Oshogbo, Akure, Enugu and Awka in the afternoon/evening hours. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 34℃ and 20 – 25℃ respectively.
