The Cross River Police Command has intercepted the leader of the Movement for The Actualization for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) in Odukpani Local Government of the state along with 46 other members.
According to the State’s Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Inuwa, the command got intelligence report that following their meeting in Ikom Local Government Area of the state, they had wanted to proceed to Calabar.
According to the CP, the command following the intelligence moved and stopped the group before reaching the metropolis to prevent the breach of peace.
Inuwa further revealed that “Upon questioning then, the group was brought to the State Command Headquarters for questioning upon which they will be released if their intentions are lawful as no weapon was found on them.” (Channels TV)
