President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has said that the Senate will always push for provision of more vaccines in Nigerian hospitals against killer diseases.
Saraki said this when he personally vaccinated some babies at the National Assembly clinic on Wednesday to underscore his determination in the fight against Meningitis.
Saraki, who was at the hospital as part of activities to mark the 2017 World Immunisation Day, added that there is need for more awareness for Nigerians to know that vaccination works and participate in vaccinating their babies.
The World Immunization day is a global public health campaign to raise awareness and increase rates of immunization against vaccine-preventable diseases around the world.
It, however, takes place each year during last week of April and the Theme of this year’s Immunization Day is #VaccinesWork.
