Police arrests killer gang, ritualists in Bauchi

The police in Bauchi have arrested murder suspects, following the killing of one Abdulhakeem Bauchi whose decomposed body was recovered by the police.

A statement issued on Thursday in Bauchi by the PPRO Bauchi State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed, indicated that through discreet investigation by Police detectives attached to Anti kidnapping unit of the Command, the following suspects were arrested:

1. Micheal Sansai, aged 23 from Rafin Zurfi area of Yelwa.
2. Samuel Uzima aged 24 of Yelwa,
3. William Yakubu, aged 28 of Shadawanka Barracks, Bauchi and,
4. Dauda Akanni and 26 of Yelwa area of Bauchi State.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the principal suspect Michael Sansai is a member of the Black Axe Confraternity, Secret cult group,” the police said.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include: One black Nokia 225 mobile phone belonging to the deceased, seven wraps of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, torn clothes of the deceased and, a SIM card and other incriminating items.

The police also arrested suspected ritualists for killing one Bala Abdulkadir Bulama, aged 60 of Unguwan Fada in Toro LGA of Bauchi. The suspects after the killing removed some organs of the victim including his head and male organ.

“Discreet investigation by Police detectives led to the arrest of the following syndicate who voluntarily confessed to have committed the act: Abdullahi Dalhatu, aged 50, Dangi Dalhatu, aged 56, Ladi Bala (female), aged 45 all of Tudun Wada via Tilden Fulani and Fadan Toro respectively.
