Weatherman predicts sunny and dry conditions today but cloudy conditions down South

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday March 13, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny and dry conditions are expected over this region in the next 24 hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 40°C and 14 – 24°C respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and dry conditions are anticipated over the northern part of this region while the rest are expected to experience partly cloudy condition with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Lokoja, Lafia and Akwanga in the next 24 hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 38oC and 17 – 24oC respectively, except over Jos where 32°C and 14°C day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy is anticipated over the inland states and cloudy conditions are expected over the coastal states in the morning. Later in the day, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over southern states. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 34 – 38°C and 21 – 26°C.
