NSCDC dismisses rumours of recruitment

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, has advised Nigerians to disregard rumours making the rounds that NSCDC is recruiting or doing replacement secretly and favouring children and candidates of top government functionaries or influential persons in Nigeria.

A statement issued on Friday in Abuja by CDPRO, ACC. Emmanuel Okeh said the Corps is not recruiting as widely speculated on the internet and various social media platforms.
“Beware of 419 and fraudsters who have hacked into NSCDC’s website to dupe innocent and desperate job seekers online.”

The NSCDC advised Nigerians to ignore all messages with religious undertone going viral, stressing that “it is an attempt by mischief makers to use religion to dent the image of the Corps.

Be informed that when it is time for recruitment, the process will be published in national dailies and electronic media.”
