A call has gone to the Immediate past Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu, to continue to sustain his leadership style, appealing to him not to lose grip in his efforts to unite the good people of Owerri North LGA in particular, and the federal constituency at large.

According to his Chief Press Secretary, Ikenna Onuoha, the group known as, Owerri North Progressive Assembly (ONPA), made the appeal while on a solidarity visit to Sir Ejiogu on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his country home, Umuakuru Emekuku. The group maintained that if other people in the LGA could behave like him, there would be no need to complain about political marginalisation, describing him as one man whose interest is to carry everyone along.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the President, Chief Victor Onyeulu expressed happiness that throughout the period Sir Ejiogu was in government, there was enough reason to convince them that he is truly a good leader, a goal-getter and a builder, whose leadership style should be emulated by others for the progress of their area.

According to him, the former SSG has remained a strong force in the political cycle of the state who is not only reliable in all his dealings, but also, very committed in any issue affecting humanity, and called on the people of the area to rally round him to enable him find solution to their cause.

In his response, Sir Ejiogu thanked them for recalling all his good works before, during and after his days as government functionary, and expressed surprise at the way they showed appreciation even though he did not keep note of all he did for them, pointing out that as a son of the area, it was incumbent on him to be part of the success story of his people.

Continuing, Sir Ejiogu called on them to be open minded and fair to all in the cause of their duties, and appealed to them to reach out to other leaders in the area to come together as one to chart a new cause for the LGA.
