The Ogun State Government has affirmed its readiness to commission the first phase of the MTR Garden City in Isheri area of the state by April 2017.
Managing Director, Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC), Mr. Jide Odusolu, disclosed this while speaking to journalists after the inspection tour of the project by the state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, today.
“The garden city has a total of 600, two and three-bedroom housing units, but by April, 2017, we will be commissioning the first phase of the project, which has 150 units,” the OPIC MD revealed.
Odusolu stated that, when completed, the project would help address some of the housing challenges being faced by the people.
He added that the housing units would be largely occupied by low and middle income earners.
In a related development, the governor’s inspection team also visited the New Makun City estate at Sagamu Interchange to monitor the progress of work on that project.
