Police are looking for a Catholic priest who went missing near Times Square, New York, USA, on Monday after he stopped taking his medication, police sources said.

The Rev. John Baptiste Ephraim, 49, was dressed in religious attire when he was last seen in the area around Seventh Avenue near West 47th Street around 6 p.m.

Ephraim, who takes medication for an unknown condition, apparently stopped taking it sometime before his disappearance, police sources said.

The holy man is described as around 5-foot-5 and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing glasses, a black overcoat and a black long-sleeve shirt with a white collar.

He is a priest at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church on Hendrickson Street in Marine Park, Brooklyn, sources said.
