The General Overseer of Christ Assets Church, Prophet David Sodeke, has revealed that no amount of economic postulation that could bring about expected turn around to the ailing economy except the leadership of the country seeks divine intervention.

Prophet Sodeke who made this disclosure during interaction with journalists during the 30th anniversary of the Great Challenge Evangelical outreach at the church headquarters in Lagos said Nigerians had sinned against God.

The man of God disclosed that the nation degenerated to this economic mass due to incessant sins and non regards to God in the way the successive leadership of this country ran the affairs of the nation.

“This nation has shed so much blood coupled with high level of corruption being perpetrated at different levels of governments in the past. You cannot hold President Muhammad Buhari accountable for problems confronting nation at the moment.

I saw it coming 15 years ago and I was shouting nobody listened to me.

“But the good news is that all hope is not lost, if we pray fervently asking God for forgiveness. God would abundantly pardon us and he will heal our economy’’, he assured.

He recounted that the Lord had used the Great Challenge Evangelical outreach to impact positively on individuals and the nation in general saying that he laboured in prayers for the nation on a regularly basis privately and on a radio programme sponsored by the church every Thursday.

He stressed further that God had been faithful to the church by sustaining this programme for the past 30 years without any hitch.

“I thank God for his faithfulness to his word through Great Challenge Prayer programme.

Great testimonies abound ranging from great deliverance, breakthroughs, healing, manifestation of his power and glory.

“Besides, the programme has brought great rewards to the church so much so that the Lord has given us open doors in some African countries and beyond,” he revealed.

Moreso, he also used the medium to thank the church members who had stood with the ministry for the past 30 years.
