NiMET predicts cloudy Saturday, plus ‘isolated thundery showers’ in Lokoja, Makurdi and Ilorin

 The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Saturday, October 29, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cities around the North region will have moderate dust haze which may keep their visibility within 3-5km. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 35 – 38°C.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected during the morning hours while isolated thundery showers are not unlikely over few areas such as Lokoja, Makurdi and Ilorin axis during evening/night hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28 – 34°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over the areas. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms in few places over the southern region like Akure, Oshogbo, Owerri and Enugu including coastal areas like Port Harcourt, Calabar, Lagos, Eket and environs in the evening/night hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 32 – 34°C.
