Gunmen burn down home of former Leader of Rivers State House of Assembly

Reports say unknown gunmen have invaded the home of former Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Chidi Lloyd, in Akpabu Community of Emohua Local Government Area.

The former leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly Chidi Lloyd confirmed this to our correspondent.
Chidi Lloyd said the gunmen dressed in military uniforms stormed his home riding on ten motorcycles.
He said the gunmen who were well armed burnt down buildings in his compound.
Chdi Lloyd said he will only confirm the attack on his country home Akpabu to allow security agencies to investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the attack on the country home of the former leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly Chidi Lloyd.
Police Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the attack on the home of Chidi Lloyd.
The Police PRO however said details of the attack on Chidi Lloyd’s building are still sketchy.
He promised to give further details on the attack on Chidi Lloyd’s home in due course.
