The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), North East Zonal Office in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has organised an awareness creation/advocacy campaign on the need for peaceful coexistence among returnees in Konduga LGA of Borno State.

Residents of the area had recently returned to their communities after two years of displacement caused by the Boko Haram insurgency.
The high point of the awareness creation/advocacy campaign was the presentation of 600 bags of rice and 800 bags of Guinea corn by the Zonal Coordinator of NEMA in the North East, Alhaji Mohammed Kanar, to the Commissioner for Information, Borno State, who received the food items on behalf of the returnees and the state government.
