Rains likely today in Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa, Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Sunday, September 11, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is expected in the region during the morning hours. There are prospects of thunderstorms over the cities around the region later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31 – 33°C.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudiness is anticipated with slim chances of early morning isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Lokoja and Makurdi. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over places such as Lafia, Kaduna, Minna and Yelwa in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 26- 31°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness with chances of localised rains is anticipated over the coastal cities such as Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa and Lagos during the morning hours. Isolated rains are probable over the region most especially the inland cities like Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28-30°C.
