Thunderstorms and cloudy conditions to prevail today in the country, plus rains in the southern states: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Sunday, July 31, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Thunderstorms are expected over the region while cloudy conditions are likely to prevail over Sokoto, Yelwa and Gusau axis during the morning hours. Later in the day, prospects of thunderstorms are anticipated over Sokoto, Yelwa and Gusau axis while the other parts of the region will remain cloudy during the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28-35 oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Morning thunderstorms are anticipated over the region with chances of localized rains/thunderstorms over parts of Abuja, Jos, Lokoja, Lafia, Makurdi, Minna and Mambilla Plateau axis during the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 28-31 oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Morning rains/thunderstorms are expected over the region with chances of localised rains during the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27-30 oC.
