NiMET lists 20 Nigerian cities expected to witness poor visibility today

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, January 6, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Areas like Sokoto, Kano, Nguru, Katsina and Maiduguri are expected to be hazy in good visibility. Night time temperatures over the area should be between 12-17oC (degree Celsius).

CENTRAL STATES: Hazy condition in good visibility is likely over the central states while poorer visibility values of 3-5km are likely over places like Abuja, Minna, Nasarawa and Makurdi. Night time temperature range should be between 15-20oC (degree Celsius).

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over places like Ibadan, Oshogbo, Abeokuta, Akure, Owerri, Awka and Enugu while fog and mist conditions are expected to affect Ikeja, Port Harcourt, Eket and Calabar in the early morning hours. Ikeja is expected to be cloudy, however light showers are anticipated over Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar. Hazy condition in good visibility is expected in the afternoon. Night time temperature over the area should be between 14-21oC (degree Celsius).
