The immediate-past Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada, has described the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, as a great achiever who has made judicious use of the resources available to him to transform the state.

Speaking during the recent commissioning of the 1.15 km-long bridge which is the longest constructed by any State Government in Nigeria. Captain Wada commended the giant strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel in embarking on the landmark project which opens the gateway into the economic nerve centers of the state.

The bridge which was commissioned by former President Goodluck Jonathan, had Governor Wada as a Special Guest at the epoch-making event.

Idris Wada urged other state Governors to emulate the good works of Governor Udom whom he describes as a pacesetter.

The bridge which connects the two local governments of Mbo and Esit-Eket, is a critical government intervention in opening up the riverine communities of Akwa Ibom state.

Capt Wada used the occasion to commend the efforts and contributions of Governor Udom Emmanuel to nation building.

He described Akwa Ibom people as peace-loving and prayed for a peaceful general election next month in the country.
