Over 200 members of Boko Haram terrorist organisation have surrendered to Nigerian troops in Banki Town of Borno State, North-East Nigeria.
A report by PRNigeria said the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, confirmed the development, saying that the battle-weary terrorists threw in the towel today.
Nigerian troops had yesterday captured the economic important and strategic town where major economic and trading activities between Nigeria, Cameroon and Central African countries take place.
During the previous encounter Nigerian troops not only recapture the town, but several Boko Haram terrorists were captured alive while many were killed in the military offensive.
