NSCDC withdraws personnel serving as guards to VIPs, politicians, others

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the withdrawal of its personnel serving in the homes and offices of public officers and politicians as guards. The Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Audi, gave the order to withdraw its personnel attached to politicians and other public office holders, News Express learnt on Wednesday.

“I hereby withdraw all the personnel attached to you, this is to meet up with the urgent National need,” read a copy of the letter addressed to Hon Shina Abiola Peller, Honourable Member, House of Representatives, Oyo State.

Citing urgent National security assignment, the NSCDC boss in an official letter titled ‘Withdrawal of Personnel’ explained the necessity of the deployment of the Command’s personnel.

In the letter, the NSCDC regretted any inconvenience the action might cause him.

The 3-paragraph letter dated February 2, 2022, was signed by DCC Sotiyo Igbalawole E., HOD Administration For State Commandant.
