Frontline Abia 2023 governorship aspirant, Senator Emma Nwaka, has described himself as the right choice to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Nwaka, who made public his governorship ambition last year, recently told zonal and local party faithful and his kinsmen that in addition to possessing the requisite track record to take Abia State to the next level, he is a good party man with impeccable credentials, including during his days as Abia PDP Chairman.

Addressing the Abia North PDP Executive Council at his Isuikwuato country home on January 3, 2023, Nwaka said: “I have character, I have integrity and there’s no House of Assembly member, House of Representatives member and or a Senator who can tell you I have sat down with him or her to discuss about how much to be given before he or she can be given a party ticket while I was the party chairman in the state.

“I have clean records while serving the party as the state chairman and that’s why I can boldly come out today to declare my interest to you all.”

Senator Nwaka held similar consultative meetings with members of his immediate ward in Oguduasa, Isuikwuato Local Government Area, as well as with some prominent Isuikwuato citizens such as former DSS Director, Chief Ray Nkemdirim; former Military Governor of Cross River State, Navy Captain Christopher Osondu (rtd); and Chairman of Isuikwuato LGA, Hon Chima Agbaeze.

“The people of Isuikwuato district have supported others and I think it’s time for them to throw in their weight of support toward our struggle to occupy the number one seat in the state,” Senator Nwaka told them.

Attendees at all the meetings commended Nwaka for putting himself forward and assured him of solid support in his quest to lead Abia State in 2023.
