All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State have been charged to remain united and as well shun any act capable of bringing the image of the party to ridicule.

Secretary to the Government of Imo State (SGI), Sir Jude Ejiogu gave this advice yesterday while receiving in audience, members of APC from Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA in his office along Sam Mbakwe road, Owerri.

Addressing the delegation, Sir Ejiogu told them to remain as one family and as well, desist from making fellow members their enemies, charging them to be ready for the tasks ahead.

According to the SGI, the only thing necessary for any devout APC member to do after the general election was to thank God for making the Governorship candidate of the party, Owelle Rochas Okorocha to emerge victorious in the poll, instead of throwing themselves into factional groups which he said, was capable of disintegrating the peaceful co-existence of the party.

Sir Ejiogu while assuring the APC members of government’s sincere commitment in carrying everyone along, further enjoined them to remain peaceful as no person would be thrown away from the party, after contributing heavily for the success of the party in the just concluded election.

He advised them to emulate the Governor of the state, Owelle Okorocha whom he said, tolerates his political rivals, even after seeing that they were meant to pull him down, describing it as one of the qualities of a good leader.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Barr Robert Ahaneku expressed happiness on the elevation of Sir Ejiogu from Chief of Staff to Secretary to the Government of Imo State, describing it as evidence of his hard work.

Barr Ahaneku while highlighting the achievements of the party in Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, also called on the state government not to forget them in the scheme of things, and warned mischief makers parading themselves as leaders of the party in the council to respect party supremacy or be shown a way out.

In their separate speeches, Chief Larry Osuagwu, Patrick Nwoko and Mrs. Augustina Ugochukwu expressed the need for all hands to be on deck in ensuring the growth of the party in the LGA, and called on individuals claiming the leadership of the party in the area to desist so as to allow peace to reign.
