A political Group, Prince Morka Vanguard for Okowa, Thursday, lauded Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for his excellent initiative in passing two bills to the State House of Assembly, just within one week of assumption of office.

The Vanguard, which is led by Ogbuefi Prince James Morka, commended the governor for the initiative, saying the bill with the title “Asaba Capital Territory Development Agency Bill 2015” would aid the transformation of Asaba and bring Asaba into the league of developed capital cities in Nigeria.

Speaking with News Express in Asaba, Prince Morka said the speed with which the governor sent the bill to the House of Assembly was an attestation of his visionary leadership qualities and that would endear him to the people of the state, and most especially residents of the capital city who have over the years yearned for development of the state capital.

Prince Morka said as a focused governor, Okowa should appoint men and women of proven character, with good antecedents and integrity into his cabinet, saying the caliber of persons in his cabinet would go a long way in fast tracking the actualization of the five-point development agenda of his administration.

In line with the five-point development agenda of the governor, Prince Morka said his organisation was redoubling all efforts to work with Okowa’s government and would apply all tools within its reach to bring fruitfulness in urban renewal with specific reference to the health of Deltans.

He said his organisation would partner the government in strengthening the health institutions where world class hospitals and urban renewal, with particular reference to Asaba, would be displayed with minimal equity contribution from the state government.

He is optimistic that the Asaba Capital Territory Development Agency which would soon commence operation in the capital city would lead to massive development and upgrading of Asaba as it would become a modern city to be reckoned with in Nigeria.

General Secretary of the Prince Morka Vanguard for Okowa, Engr. Emma Chiedozie, congratulated the governor on his swearing in, calling on the governor to pilot the affairs of the state in the fear of God.
