Kaduna State Deputy Governor-elect, Hon Bala Barnabas Bantex, said on Thursday that the people would now start experiencing the type of development taking place in Kano State.

Bantex stated this while receiving supporters, clergies and members of the academia in his residence.

He revealed that despite huge loan taken by the present administration, the state was still backward in terms of development.

He urged all people in the state to be ready to contribute and participate in building a new Kaduna.

“Our prayer is that God will give our dear president elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, the wisdom and the strength to be able to meet up with the expectation of the largely poor and traumatize Nigerians who voted massively for him,” he said.

Bantex added, “For my dear governor-elect in Kaduna State, I also pray that the skills and the ability God has given him will enable him to bring Kaduna out of the present sorry state of massive debt profile. For me, as someone who has the singular honour and privilege at this time to work with an expert such as El-rufai, I can only say, its quiet a privilege and am very happy and proud to work with such a highly technocrat. I hope that God will also give me the opportunity to contribute my little quarter to the development of Kaduna State.

Speaking on the just concluded elections, Bantex said there were some minor security breaches, adding that in the Southern part of the state, the election went well.

“What the enemy wanted for Kaduna state was to create a magnitude of crises that would probably lead to the declaration of a state of emergency. But God averted that, and we are very happy about that. You know, people from the Southern part of Kaduna State have found themselves in different situation but I want to express my happiness that some have realized the need for change. There were some cynicism about the party; about what it represents; about what her background was but it was not unusual to people who have been caged for about 16 years by very deceiving party. I appreciate where they were coming from, and what they were doing, but I also appreciate the strategic move that the Southern Kaduna people made just on good time to bail themselves out,” Bantex added.

He disclosed that it would have been a political catastrophe if Southern Kaduna did not participate in the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“They would have become marginalised in the Nigeria nation and the state in particular. Pulling themselves particularly out of misdirection to a proper place is a good thing. I’m proud of them

because the APC has come to stay in Southern Kaduna, and it will bring about things that will be truly a lot better than what the PDP have done to the region for over 16 years,” he stated.
