•Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK)

Maggie’s Blog reported a few days after Nigeria’s Democracy Day (June 12) that veteran actor, Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, professionally known as Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) had decided to go to the gods with palmwine to enquire about why Nigerians have become so disillusioned about their country.

The 58 years old Imo State-born Mass Communication graduate from the University of Lagos posted on his Instagram page on Sunday that he has gone to the land of the dead and come back with enough information.

According to him, he met with some of the founding fathers of the Nigerian nation – Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, among others.

In the video which he titled, “Response from the gods on June 12” he said: “I met our heroes past whom I have never seen in my life – Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello. They were all in a meeting.”

“Professor Johnbull” said the founding fathers condemned the numerous vices which have taken over the country today such as kidnapping, tribalism, nepotism, terrorism, corruption, deceit, insecurity, insensitivity, lack of national direction, among others.

He said the founding fathers regretted wasting their energy to give the country independence in 1960.

He pointed out that Hebert Macaulay particularly regretted being a Nigerian and wished he could change his nationality.

The versatile actor said he pleaded with the gods to have pity and see Nigeria as a child who has gone astray.

Shaking his head he said: “At this point the gods kept quiet. They were silent. Yes, the gods kept silent.”

Just hope KOK is not using style to prepare our minds for a new movie he is brewing.

Well, time will tell.
