Today’s Weather: NiMet predicts clouds, sunshine and localised thunderstorms

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, March 9, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to sunny conditions are anticipated over this region during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 39 – 42℃ and 20 – 23℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy skies are expected in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are likely over Abuja, Ilorin, Makurdi, Lokoja and Lafia axis during the afternoon hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 37 – 40℃ and 23 – 27℃ respectively, except over Jos where 39℃/27℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy skies are probable over most parts of this region during the morning hours while localised thunderstorms are expected over Ibadan, Ado, Oshogbo, Abakaliki, Owerri, Ikom, Uyo, Lagos, Abeokuta, Port Harcourt and Calabar during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 37℃ and 21 – 26℉ respectively.
