The All Progressives Congress (APC), Niger State Chapter led by its Chairman, Engr. Mohammed Jibrin Imam, has passed a vote of confidence on President Muhammad Buhari and Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello for piloting the affairs of the country and the state in a good manner since their administration came to power in 2015.

Engr. Imam said this on Sunday at the Government House Minna during the welcoming ceremony of the 34,000 new decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to APC.

He revealed that vote of confidence and endorsement of President Buhari and Governor Sani-Bello was borne out of the need to give them the needed support and encouragement in order for them to focus more on making life better for Nigerians and Nigerlites as well as continuing with the policies of the current administration.

Earlier the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, had urged the leadership of the party and the entire Members to pressurise Governor Sani-Bello to contest for a second time. He stressed that this administration has done well and that Mr Governor has indeed contributed his own quota in bringing Nigeria out of recession after the 16 years of PDP misrule as well as his foresight in being proactive in the security situation in the state.

The decampees led by Alhaji Aminu Yusuf also passed a vote of confidence on Gov Sani-Bello and stressed that his leadership qualities, prudent management of the state resources as well as his economic policies were what encouraged them to decamp to APC. The decampees have also put their weight behind President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello to continue the good work they have started until 2023
