Two of the four policemen declared missing by the Benue State Police Command have been found unhurt after 24 hours.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fatai Owoseni, confirmed this to Channels Television on Sunday in a telephone interview.

According to him, the duo has also rejoined the Mobile Police Force team deployed in Ayilamo, Logo Local Government Area of the state.

Owoseni was, however, optimistic that the remaining two policemen would equally return to base safely.

“Yes, I can confirm that two out of the four policemen declared missing after Saturday’s attack on our patrol team in Ayilamo by suspected herdsmen, have rejoined their colleague unhurt,” he said.

“We are hoping that the other two policemen will rejoin the team safely,” he added. (Channels TV)
