NiMet predicts sunny and cloudy weather for today

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, February 10, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions are expected over the northern cities throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 36 – 40oC and 16 – 20℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy condition is anticipated over this region with chances of thundery activities over Nassarawa, Ilorin, Minna, Bida, Abuja, Lokoja, Makurdi, and Lafia in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 37 – 41℃ and 16 – 24℃ respectively, except over Jos where 33oC/15oC day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over this region in the morning while localised thunderstorms are probable over Shaki, Ado-Ekiti, Awka, Owerri, Umuahia, Oshogbo, Akure, Enugu and the coastal cities during the afternoon/evening period hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 38℃ and 24 – 27℃ respectively.
