The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Thursday October 6, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: There are prospects of hazy conditions over Maiduguri, Nguru and environs. Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over Sokoto, Gusau, Kano and Yelwa later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32 – 38°C.

CENTRAL STATES: There are possibilities of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Kaduna, Lafia and Yola axis in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over the high grounds of the central cities including Abuja, Bauchi, Jos and Lafia in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 31 – 34°C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the area with chances of localised thunderstorms over the inland cities of southeast in the morning. There are also prospects of localised thunderstorms over Ibadan, Oshogbo, Ilorin, Iseyin and localised rains over the entire coast in the afternoon/evening hours especially in Lagos, Delta, Calabar and Port Harcourt. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34°C.
