Today’s Weather: NiMET forecasts cloudy conditions, thunderstorms in the North, rain showers elsewhere

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday July 22, 2016.

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy condition is anticipated over most parts of the regions in the morning. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Sokoto, Gusau, Yelwa and Maiduguri axis later in the day. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29- 34oC.

CENTRAL STATES: There are prospects of isolated rain showers over the high grounds of the central cities including Abuja, Jos, Nasarawa, Lokoja and Ibi in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28- 31oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: The inland cities and south west coast is expected to be cloudy in the morning. Localised rains/showers are not unlikely over the inland and coastal cities such as Lagos, Delta, Calabar and Port Harcourt including Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu and Awka later in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 27- 31oC.
