Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has suspended the State Commissioner for Works, Mr Kevin Wachukwu.

A statement issued this evening in Port Harcourt by the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, said that the suspension is with immediate effect.

No reason was given for Wachukwu’s suspension.

The Governor directed that the Special Adviser on Special Projects should take over the responsibility of supervising projects in the Ministry in the meantime.
