The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, September 18, 2015:

SOUTHERN STATES: “Cloudy condition is expected to prevail over the south-east coast while the south-west coast will likely experience localised rain in the morning hours, with prospects of localised rains being expected over the entire coast in the afternoon/evening.”

On the inland areas: “Localised rains are expected over the south-east with chances of cloudy condition over the south-west in the morning, while localised rains are expected to prevail over the entire region in the afternoon/evening hours.”

NORTH-CENTRAL STATES: “Thunderstorms are expected over the entire region in the morning hours, while localised thunderstorms are expected to affect areas like Minna, Abuja, Lokoja, Makurdi, Lafia, and Kaduna axis, during the afternoon hours. Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over Ilorin, Bida, Yelwa, Jos, Bauchi, Gombe and Yola axis in the afternoon/evening hours.”

NORTHERN STATES: “In the morning hours, prospects of localised thunderstorms are expected to affect the entire region, while cloudy afternoon are expected over the north-west. Localised thunderstorms are also expected to affect the north-eastern part of the country in the afternoon.”
